Summary and Suggestion

 

1.1   Purposes of practicum (meets or not meets your need).💝

As a participant in this SEA-Teacher program, I believe that this program has several goals as mentioned below.

- This program helps students develop their teaching potential.

- Can find out the education system that exists in Southeast Asian countries

- gain experience and be able to exchange cultures

- Expand preschool teachers' perspectives on differences and how to act wisely in the face of those differences.  - Expand connections between initial training students and foreign teachers.

- Establish cooperation with Asian countries so that it becomes more harmonious

1.2     Procedures of practicum💚

I teach grade 10 with my partner Anjel. Teaching in grade 10 first prepare a lesson plan made before teaching. lesson plans owned by  Ateneo de Naga high school almost have the same template that starts with elicit, engage, explore, explain, elaborate, and evaluate.

Make material according to the lesson plan and exchange cultures at the last meeting of class.

1.3  Outcomes of Practicum💗

- More confident in front of students

- Train teaching development with a variety of different methods

- Develop my teaching skills

- Improved my English because the whole conversation was in   English. 

 

1.4    The challenges of practicum💟

-  difficulty in creating material that can attract more students' attention

-  Sometimes it's hard to explain science in English

-  It’s quiet hard to get their focus and attention during the process of learning.

-  sometimes forget some languages

 

1.5    Overall impression💣

I have had many experiences in Naga City, especially the students who are very happy with our arrival to teach them and also the Buddies who always accompany and direct when I need information about the city, about the education system here. So that information is exchanged and becomes an evaluation material.

My English has also developed for several weeks here, I really hope there is still more time here, but it is hindered by only 1 month and has scheduled plane tickets to go home

 

1.6     Suggestion for the future improvement💧

My suggestion and hope in the future about this program is to provide more opportunities for students to qualify and add more countries involved so that it can become an educational race in the future, More time to teach and visit several places.

Does not put excessive pressure in the process of making lesson plans and teaching practices so that it is easier to teach
